Leaving the project :-( by mutt 2008-08-29 21:05:44
Someday I will read this farewell note again :-

I guess it is finally time to do the inevitable and say farewell to all of you. It has been three and a half years since I joined as a fresher, and while this may not seem like such a long time to the more experienced of you, it has spanned my entire IT career, almost as long as the time I spent in college, so this is a profound moment for me.

Everything that I know about this industry today, I have learned here , and it is something that I will forever be indebted to all of you for. But more than that, on a personal level I have learned some things here that are even more valuable. I have learned that the most difficult work is often the most rewarding, that the hardest challenges are the stuff that keep life interesting , and that the difference between just doing your job and doing it passionately is what matters at the end.

Unfortunately this same line of reasoning brings me to this difficult decision, I believe that I have given to the project as much as I could, and vice versa. It's time to move on, and seek new challenges and responsibilities. But before that I would like to say once again to all of you, thank you for helping me along when I joined this project and knew little about this industry, for making me learn new things every day, for the support and encouragement and criticism which made me what I am, and for making sure I never had a shortage of work to do ;-)
I hope I was able to give back to all of you at least a fraction of what I recieved.
I will forward my new extension number later.

Until then , if you need me, you know how to find me
