I was playing my first knight ever, and loving it. Had Excalibur, a full suit of enchanted armor, full divine protection... -47 AC... MR, reflection, the Mirror, superspeed, a dragon mount...
And I THOUGHT I had all the resistances. I was fighting Asmodeus, just sauntering along back to the stairs, thinking, "la la, nothing can hurt me." Turns out I didn't have cold resistance. That's what I get for playing at 3am. Any other time I'd have been my normal, careful self and at least GLANCED at my hp. I'm so mad. That one could have ascended easily. I had 2 wishes left, and nothing to use them on (I thought!) It would have been nice to be able to say I ascended my first knight. I still have NO idea how I could have made it that deep and *not* gotten cold resistance.
Ah well. I'm looking forward to trying my next knight. They're strong! |
