as i'm still here ;)

I'm making a system to monitor plant roots growing in a 2d glass chamber. We are using a videomicroscope to take pictures of the plants, and my task is to write a program that takes pictures automaticly (easy), make sure that the camera moves when the root does (difficult), and analyze the pictures (even more difficult).

OK, so it's physics only in the name; it's more of programming than experimenting, but that's fine with me! I also have a room full of computers and cool equipment I can play with, so I have a lot of fun.

Sad thing is that there's no other computer geeks/gadget freaks here, so I get a lot of weird looks when i'm getting all exited about my new linear positioning system or somthing ;)
