| To answer your first question, I'm Mike. I'm a 20-year old college sophomore majoring in Computer Science at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
I sound like I'm on a dating show, for Chrissakes. :)
Anyway, as I'm sure you've been able to figure out (unless you have the mental prowess of a turnip. Or if you're French. Same thing, really), I'm a big fan of metal music. I'm not going to list every single one I enjoy. However, I will list a few new ones that I recently found.
-
the missing: is an industrial metal band from NYC. They're not your typical spineless pansy Linkin Park knockoffs, not by a long shot. And the fact that the lead singer is a total hottie helps out, too. :)
- Violent Work of Art is another industrial band, this time from Sweden. I don't know what it is about Scandinavia, but the people there can sure make some d@mn good music!
- R3SET
is a fast-paced metal band from Peru. Can I understand what they're saying? No. Do I still like their music? Hell yeah!
- Guitarboy
is just a guy who plays guitar. All his work is instrumental, and pretty d@mn good, to boot. Please ignore the goofy pic of him on the page. :)
- Volition is another female-fronted metal band. Their music is a bit slower than the others listed above, but still high-quality in its own right.
And while I'm at it, I might as well add a shameless plug for my personal website, Crystalhawk Chronicles. In addition to being a full-time student and Linux geek, I'm also an amateur writer. I decided to put some of my works online for the world to enjoy.
NOTE: If you do decide to head over, be sure to turn off pop-ups inyour browser beforehand. Otherwise you'll get windows opening up every time you click on a link. And please bear with em as I learn the ins and outs of PostNuke. :) |
