Thu 2/6 - I'll call yesterday a "snow day" by bigmal27 2014-02-06 04:58:33
So I missed another. But that's okay. The snow made up for it. We're definitely setting records, at least since me & MrsMal first met & dated (fall of 2005 -- a year later we were engaged and I had bought our current house).

Due to snow blowing (clearing the driveway) and drifting from the front lawn, courtesy of the nasty wind that funnels between our house and my westward neighbor's, I had a snow pile on the "median strip" (between the street and the main sidewalk) over half MY height. At the driveway's edge it is taller than the front opening on the snow blower.

Then the hired plow service decided that the median area on the OTHER side of my driveway -- not very large, since my eastward neighbor's driveway is relatively close -- would be the best spot for the big plow-pile of the cul-de-sac both on Sunday and Wednesday.

Big plow-pile ended up extended over 25% of the width of my driveway's end at the street. I was NOT happy snow-blowing it on to the upper portions of the pile. Now I have a "taller than the snowblower" situation on THAT side too.

And with the storm drain being situated at the end of my driveway, all the runoff from the Spring Thaw is coming MY way. I just hope it doesn't undermine my driveway's concrete. We put in a patio last summer -- concrete work is EXPENSIVE. I'd rather have to deal with car repairs!
