Parents and brother from ~550 miles away (straight-line through Lake Michigan). Much cleaning to do. Much stress to be had. A weekend with LOTS to do before wife's birthday, but they take ALL our free time with negative emotional returns. And Mom lays on a hearty Guilt Trip should anything be said negative in their direction about anything. I do NOT enjoy these visits anymore. And its getting harder for them to travel (age/medical reasons). If it weren't for my kids (grandkids they want to see), I'd be tempted to just cut myself off from them. Monday morning can't come quick enough, but I really don't want to simply end up back at work without being with my own family.
