Wed 1/15 - Had a feeling this morning... by bigmal27 2014-01-15 12:55:37
...that if I waited then a good topic (or at least a rant-trigger) would come along. I was right! Plus, by virtue of finally giving rant-speech to this topic, I can finally move on somewhat.

Sequence of events leading up to now:
1. Person X (male) intends to use the restroom.
2. Person X does not wish his butt to touch the toilet seat which other persons' butts have touched.
3. Person X covers toilet seat with toilet paper.
(So far I have no problem with this.)
4. Person X leaves without clearing ALL the paper from the toilet seat.
5. I come in to find anywhere from some to most (and rarely ALL) of the paper still on the seat.

So... Person X expects ME to either:
a. Place MY butt on the same paper as their butt, contrary to their own priorities. That's Anti-Golden Rule right there.
b. With my HAND, touch the paper that was (at least potentially) touching their BUTT. If you couldn't share butt-space on the SEAT, what makes you think I would WANT to touch this "dirty" paper with my HAND?!? Again, against their own view of the world and Anti-Golden Rule.

Either way, I can't win when I find a toilet in that situation.

Solution: If YOU use the paper for this purpose, YOU dispose of it! Do NOT leave it for the next person, because YOU just violated your own rules of germ isolation in the process!

I'm about to put up signs in the stalls calling people like X out on this. Yay/nay?
