Tue 1/14 - Is this the first two-day streak? by bigmal27 2014-01-14 04:46:02
I do believe so!

Bad combination last night: tired kids (one who wouldn't eat much) and overstuffed adults who ate too much. Place one (me) on a couch, add kids and mindless toddler cartoons, and Daddy becomes tired too. Then have kids become whiny due to tiredness and other factors, waking Daddy. I wish in that situation I could possibly be less brash, but alas I can not no matter how hard I try. Eventually the kids went to bed. MrsMal's tummy was SO full she wanted to stay up later, so at least we got to watch a couple of episodes from the DVR (as if we will EVER catch up on ANY of our favorite programs).

What's on the DVR aside from kiddie shows:
1. Sitcoms: BigBangTheory, Mike&Molly, ModernFamily -- none of which we have ANY progress on, and have even started mass-deleting episodes
2. Dramedy: Hart of Dixie -- which we've kept up on, more-or-less
3. Drama: Chicago Fire -- was keeping up, but not good right-before-bed material
4. "Her" shows: Say Yes to the Dress, Instant Mom (no progress)
5. My shows: TopGear (UK), MythBusters, Phineas&Ferb and a couple random cartoon episodes. I keep up on the MB and P&F but TopGear takes longer.
6. Movies -- can't remember which (doesn't matter; will never get watched)

This got me thinking, if I HAD to choose, I'd choose MB *ANY* day over TopGear. Sorry, chaps, but the Adam/Jamie duo does big, elaborate constructions so much better than you, and instead of "Oh, no!" it's more like "Cool! Now why did THAT happen? Let's try it again!"
