Hello there, thanks for stopping by. Okay, people ask, so let me get it out
of the way: Yes, I am quite sane. Don't let my nic make you think otherwise...
Besides, I just do what the voices in my head tell me to do.
Alright, maybe you want to know a bit about me? Currently I'm 36 (and getting
older by the day), and I live in Portland, Oregon US. The locals here say that
most people who move here are from California. What do I know about that?!
I only moved up here from California four years ago...
I have a twelve-year background as an aerospace mechanic where I worked on
everything from commercial airliners and fighter jets to satellite deployment
vehicles (big ol' rockets) and experimental rocket vehicles. I also worked
in the model shop there for a number of years building experimental and static
models.
For the past four years I have been working in the technical field. Yes, I
was a helpdesk monkey for quite a while. I actually kinda liked it too. I
found User Friendly after a few months working as a tech support representative
at a national ISP. The strip really hit home on so many occasions. People
ask me why I would get into this industry after working on government space
programs and the like. I donno... I'm a glutton for punishment
maybe?
Currently I work for larger company as a field service technician. The job
varies from troubleshooting LAN issues to fixing hardware and software issues.
Eh, I guess I'll see where this leads.
Ok, enough of my ramblings. Ramble off something back to me if you will.
I'll look forward to hearing from ya!
