Okay, I've been AWOL for quite a while... perhaps an update is in order...
Welcome to the diary of one of the West Coast of the US Furrballs. Still a network geek of long standing, still a tech... however, after a couple of years out of work due to layoff, now working for a leather glove company in San Francisco.
If you catch me online, it's unusual. Sometimes can be found on Facebook (LthrOttr) but really don't do a lot online in the messaging world these days.
Am actually an ancient UFie, from near when the strip began... once was active, then had life through me a major curveball and I vanished, returne to these happy hunting grounds around mid-2001 for several more years, and then vanished again. Am going to be around again, I think.
Interests? Boots, my pipes, my books, Sky-diving (Class-B license). Prior of a religious order, and have been serving in pastoral care and chaplaincy for about 10 years now.
I do solo work singing bass as well as chorus, do a fair bit of composing (I use Finale for scoring/manipulation, Garitan Personal Orchestra in Orchestration, a Roland RS-70 for most keyboard work). Do some piano and organ playing these days, including subbing as a pipe organist at different churches in the SF Bay Area on Sunday mornings.
One of the busiest things going on riding with AIDS Lifecycle. This will be my fourth year as a rider on the 545-mile 7-Day journey from San Francisco to Los Angeles raising money for HIV/AIDS services and treatments.
