You're making the mistake of assuming everyone will just move to the middle of whatever spectrum is the subject of discussion. Diversity means there are all kinds. Maybe they're roughly in proportion with the general population, maybe not. The point is, it's not all straight white males when the general population contains WAY more variations than that. What set this off, anyway? Just curious.
