That's not free. Just for giggles, monitor what processes that "free" software launches on system start (or program start). Also monitor what network traffic those processes generate. If it takes up memory/time/network I'd designate the program "malware" and raise a stink on social media. If the program phones home with identifiable information I'd raise a stink with your privacy commissioner (or equivalent). ISTM any EULA you enter into is void because the product is disabled by the publisher.
