it's names, including shadowsystem.org:

Any and all accesses at this time will VERY LIKELY BE SLUGGISH OR EVEN TIME OUT.

I am doing a LOT of compiling on that machine, updating a lot of servers and doing maintenance updates on some of the system components (PHP for instance).

This EATS the CPU's and I have given the compile TOP PRIORITY in execution. Your files and web pages and such will have to wait a bit, sorry if it's a bother. But I've had some sleep in the last couple of days, the insomnia is therefore biting me hard, and I can get this done more than likely in the next couple of hours if I crank at it hard.

So if things get slow, my apologies but they will get better soon. And there will be security updates and all sorts of things.

If anyone has comments on whether the 2.4.X Apache web server branch is actually worth going to instead of the 2.2.X branch which is running (and which is being updated presently), I would love to hear them. I'm considering it, but wondering what will break if I do. It is likely that I'll compile it, then test it from a secondary directory while leaving the previous version available, both versions pointed at the same docs and scripts, and then check to see what explodes.....
