I have just completed playing 1000 games of Minesweeper at Expert level. (100 mines, 16x30 playing field). Games won: 237. Best time: 127. Since there seems to be about three points where a 50/50 guess is involved, pure chance should only yield about 12.5% success. Maybe the mine placement is not as random as it should be? Or maybe it's time for me to buy lottery tickets while my luck is running high.
