Exactly where my mind went first. Dunno what's up with the OEM connectors though, they should not suffer from such issues. ...that's just wrong. I'm guessing if the environment was corrosive there would be evidence of that in a lot of easier to spot places than the connectors to the heating element for the stove.

Maybe some "manager" decided to order "the exact same connectors at half the cost" while at the same time wondered why engineers always specify the "expensive" parts. ;)
