GM fined about a days wage over ignition issues... by tonyz 2014-05-16 11:36:07
...what is a days wage? More than the 35 million they have to pony up in fines.

So ya, GM is hit with the maximum fine which is pennies to them.

Lemme tell you something, If I could get away with murder at the cost of a days wage, I'd get a freeking job and begin cleansing this country part time.

GM did not fix an issue which would have cost a few real pennies per unit. People died. ...and the fine is literally pocket change.

I'm so F^@&!Ng upset. While the government did levy the maximum fine, what the fine equates to is meaningless, and that should have been worked out before hand.

I feel sorry for the woman who was made CEO weeks before the crap hit the fan, and totally beleive that the "good old boys" who ran the company into the ground, took government money and huge paychecks as their company was going under, then threw this poor woman under the bus they knew was headded their way NEED TO BE PUT TO DEATH for gross acts of negligence against the American people and government.

...but that's just me. I believe in accountability. I beleive punishment should be proportional to the crime. One days wage whatever the cost is not being held accountable or proportional to their crime. It's not even a slap on the wrist. ...and all of this was NOT an accident, GM's actiins were very deliberate.
