Some people might think that a printer is a photocopier, or that a scanner is, or who knows what else. The lawyer asking the questions himself pointed out that technically unknowledgeable people will be listening to the deposition.
When I did technical support my motto was "believe they have a problem, don't believe their diagnosis". I've had to tell people that the monitor isn't the computer, that the modem isn't connected to anything, that they don't even have the program they're trying to use. I have no problem believing that non-technical people could have different ideas about what a "photocopier" is. |
