We had the same in our house in Canada. I bought a bag of mixed grass seed (66% crab grass by the look of it) and raked it in my self. I used the Weed and Feed once each spring, and the rest of the time it was fertilized with...human pee.
I cut it when I felt like it, and it wasn't raining.
The neighbours all had the high end sod put down, they had the companies come in and spray the lawn twice a month, they were out every weekend cutting and rolling the lawns.
Not only did we have a damn nice lawn, that showed up on Google Earth as the greenest on the block, but unlike the neighbours, we had time to sit out on the lawn with a whisky and enjoy our yard. |
