she used and attempted to make real all too often: "I'm going to slap you to sleep, and then slap you for sleeping." Sort of her motto for life, which tells you a lot about her way of thinking. Nope. Still don't miss her. Still no grief, no tears, no sorry-you're-gone-Mom, nothing really, except "No more worrying about what insane thing she's going to pull next to embarrass or hurt one of us." And part of me still that to be very sad in itself.
