Fedex parcel ... by SciSSorS 2014-03-27 08:48:33
Trying to buy something -light and small- over the intarwab.
Find website of UK company, find product ... price is right ..... so far everything OK.
Then : pay (through MasterCard or Paypal ... chose one. Works)
Email confirms : "your parcel will be shipped through FedEx"
Not really cheap, but cheaper than last book that shipped from France.

Then yesterda: sms saying "parcel will be delivered to your adress, tomorrow"
THAT was fast ! Only: I could not track immediately and I risked that it be "delivered" to an empty house. So today, 8 'clock, I go to the website indicated by that SMS, put in the "code" ... but thatone doesn't exist.
OK, it's 8 o'clock: there's probably someone on their call center ?
Pick up phond, greeen, green, "yellow" , I'm in.
I ask for the packet to be delivered to ... work adress, reception is open during working hours. I get now an extremely LONG "tracking number" ... that works.
Noon break: no call from reception.
3 PM (after a meeting):still no call.
Mini-break in "personal time" : website, use extremelylngtrackingnumber : hey, at 11:56 they "delivered" it to ... "delivery exception: customer not available or business closed".

New phone cll: next try tomorrow. "Sorry sir, we cannot reschedule the delivery adres during the same day"
Well, the first SMS came during a meting (checked the time), but there was "no time to do personal things" (no time like today, when I could take a pause "as long as a cigarette break" to look that stuff up)

Well, I like it when now and then there IS that kind of "time for little breaks".
It STILL is a fast delivery: from UK to BE within the same week.
I bet these fedex drivers need little breaks too (not to mention good brakes in Brussels traffic .... why does my mind now wander off to traffic puns? )
