If I've got a bow, I plink them with arrows.
If I've got a crossbow, I impale them with bolts.
If I've got a Halfling, I tie a rope around his waist, hand him the Lance & fling him at the enemy, hopefully pinning the bastage to a wall by the groin.
Then the Halfling ties the rope to the embedded Lance, I tie my end to the door, & Tight Rope Walk across the pit like a nimble little monkey.
In Full Plate.
With a Tower Shield.
Carrying a Maximum Load minus one pound.
While singing the Disney Dwarf song for good measure.
