melee could only be LESS friendly. I prefer keeping deities\demigods out of play unless I'm doing Tunnels & Trolls, where that sort of thing is expected.
"Paranoia" - like play, with Giant cockroaches as boss level monsters, and LOTS of weapons malfunction rolls is more my style. "Remember, the GM is your friend. TRUST the GM."
I will NEVER forget the night with the solar-powered variable-sword. You see, the solar cells were in the hilt, but no one told THEM that! What is an unpowered variable-sword? A whip of monomolecular string, because there's no force field (or other doodad) to hold it out straight. FUN!!! |
