Birth control on a generation ship by SnappingTurtle 2014-03-07 13:44:54
Population growth on a generation ship could be a serious issue. Since generation ships have strictly limited resources, overpopulation could be disastrous. What, if any, types of birth control should be used? Should everyone's reproductive system be disabled early on, and only enabled by permission? Who decides who gets to reproduce? Would a strong social value of limiting offspring be sufficient to forced temporary sterilization?

Opine.
