"A lot of people are all, 'I have four wheel drive'. Four wheel drive might get you going [in snow], but you can't stop any faster [than any two wheel drive]." This was said while he was taking me to the university during ice/snow conditions when the university held classes even though the roads were too scary for my father to permit me to drive my vehicle. (My dad's mostly a smart man, and most of his advice is worth listening too. I might have been of age at that point in time, but I wasn't as young and stupid as my age would have told you. I'd already had my lesson about youth-immortality at that point.) I took his advice to heart. I've driven in snow ONCE, and I'll never do it again except under duress.
