CPU/Laptop question for the UFiecle: by ideur 2014-03-07 00:30:09
I'm looking for a new laptop. It needs a LOT "umpf" and more than one CPU/core! A Lot of memory is another plus (8GB or more). The current laptop has a 1600x1200 screen!
There will be no games other than minesweeper/solitaire ...
The main use will be photo processing, which needs a lot of CPU Power.
Don't need a huge disk drive, everything will be stored on a different box (My own cloud). A 80GB drive would be to big!
I could find up to $1200 to play with ...

What is the difference between Intel i3/5/7 CPUs?
What is the difference between AMD A6/8/10 CPUs?
Are there any laptops left with a decent screen resolution? (at least what i have now) widescreen is NOT a requirement!
Apple and SONY don't need to apply!
