As long as they've some place to hide from the big ones (they're cannibalistic, and will eat their own offspring) most of them will do just fine and grow rapidly to full (un-munchable) size. And sort of floating water plants will do, just so there is plenty of places for them to hide. Even eel grass if you plant it densely enough, if you would rather have roots than free-floating stuff.
