a system, looking for a community group? I'm not sure where you live, but some areas have organizations that do community work or charity work that would love to have volunteers or even just members. Maybe you can find somewhere that has regular meetings or activities.
Look on meetup.com for your area. Look for local chapters of national organizations like Mensa (I'm sure you have the wits to gain membership), and see what special interest groups meet in your area.
This issue gets discussed a lot, where churches have a built-in support system for its members. If you're not a member of a church, and you want the same thing, you have to get more creative.
Maybe even start your own meetup group. Theme it towards moral philosophy or whatever interests you. You can have casual meetings in local cafes, perhaps. |
