Spent much of the day (so far) in the shop. Made one trip to Lowe's, making another momentarily.
I finished the radiator cover for our bedroom project, and hauled the 'craft dresser' (was my dresser when I was a kid) out to the shop to be painted. This dresser is used by SWMBO to hold assorted craft stuff and gift stuff (bags, tissue paper, etc).
I pulled the drawers out, fixed the runners for the drawers (all were loose, 1 was missing), and lightly sanded the paint so I could go over it with a new top coat (it is a barely off-white color now, it will be the colors we used for our bedroom - a pale yellow and a pastel greenish-blue).
The knobs have been taken off the drawers and the bottoms removed (the bottoms were not in the best of shape - 3 of the 4 were partially popped out already, the 4th should have been as it was barely holding on).
Once I fix the drawer bottoms, they will be ready for sanding, then it is on to the painting. I want to have all the yellow done tonight (that is the primary color). |
