In fact, I can virtually guarantee that it wasn't me. I would not have left myself without leads to information. While I cannot eliminate the possibility of temporal discontinuity, I can certainly think of more mundane explanations of the event. Occam's razor tells me that this is probably just an elaborate con/joke from the present.
