From the look on his/your face, and the pallor of his/your complexion, you suspect he/you may have had a challenging day, so far. Incredibly challenging, gauging by his rapid breathing...
"Under no uncertain circumstances are you to be at <$location> at 1430 on Tuesday!" he shouts/gasps at you, then (just as abruptly) he leaves. Ducks out. Seemingly just disappears. You roam about, looking for clues, but there do not appear to be any.
