And if she does get that insurance, it SHOULD BE bare-bones. No need to spend more on insurance premiums than the car is worth. Enough to keep her legally covered in case she damages others' or their cars, and the minimum else. The car is meant to be disposable, so after 2 years she can sell it for a few bucks, donate it to a needy friend, or just have it towed to the junkyard.
