Natural Gas Appliance UFies: Question... by tonyz2014-02-06 18:26:44
It might be some sort of pressure regulator and by wwill2014-02-06 18:35:49
It looks like this by tonyz 2014-02-06 19:36:28
IMAGE. The circular thing on the left is what I assume is the saftey switch/valve/regulator.

I have no knowledge or experience with CNG setups apart from my LPG bbq grill.

I have seen connections running into houses before that consist of nothing more than a pipe from the ground into the house with only that regulator or whatever it is inline. I had assumed those places were not metered because they had a tank. I also assume that the tanker truck that refills CNG tanks has its own method of metering volume to bill the customer. ...I honestly don't know. I know I can't have a tank here, but, I'm thinking that IF there is service here it might be more cost effective to run my BBQ, air conditioner, and heater on CNG. Even if I have to pay an arm and a leg to get service brought to the property.

Of course, that guy might have a CNG line to his house because he is mere feet from the county line. I'm nearly a mile north of there.
