For the most part it's the ONE manager/boss* by Hieraco 2014-02-06 16:33:33
which I suspect is why he is being cut from the scheduling duty.

The big boss and the executives that deal with the kitchen seem to be all good folks, and many of them went to bat to try and keep me on when the cuts came. I suspect that a few of them had their hands in finding me a new position within the company when the cuts were made.

The increase in numbers is not from 1500 to 3000. it is 1500 in one restaurant PLUS up to 3000 in a new restaurant being added in the new tower that is being built. and these numbers are for breakfast service only. there will also be event bookings for lunches and dinners which could range from 50 people buffet style to a thousand people having a sit-down three course meal.

I suspect when the time comes (around November) that they open the new tower and get things set up, they may offer some of the people that were laid off positions. but will probably need to hire a crap load of "slow as my ass is in January" workers to fill the shifts.

If everything goes well with the pool-boy gig, I'll be able to stand back and smile and wave and mutter "...not MY problem". if it doesn't work out, well I'm not going to burn my bridges.
