It's really more of Lab Rat's story, but a long time ago (a decade or so?) I was talking on the phone with her. She stepped out the back door to call Waggy and Bear back in. On the 4 inch step down to her patio she tripped and shattered her shoulder. She had to have a couple of surgeries and multiple screws put in her. Enough titanium that she should be called "Mecha-Lab Rat." Everyone has been blaming me for that ever since. It is also provided the origins of "wrapping Lab Rat in bubblewrap" and "I Labratted myself." All in all, not a very funny story.
