...all this petulant "if you're for it, I'M AGAINST IT" and "I'll stick to my ideology, even if it makes NO BLEEDING SENSE" crap on BOTH sides has sabotaged the system, public opinion, and even the sense that anything can be done.

The mere fact that there are only two sides, and that people are convinced each issue only has two sides and two possible approaches, and that all policies are LINKED into one coherent ideology that you must follow totally, is the fault of this adversarial hyperpartisan bulls4 that's been practiced for the last few decades.

The Democrats have proven that being a reasonable minority when the other party is being steamrolling asshats won't work.

The Republicans have proven that being a loud, raucous, obstructionist minority when the other party is warring with themselves and can't steamroll anything won't work.

Both parties have proven that trying to be bipartisan, centrist, or just plain reasonable just gets you kicked out of whatever tent you're in and called a "(PARTY) in name only".

This party crap has to END and people need to be forced to THINK about this s4 or we'll never dig ourselves out of this hole.

You've espoused your theory clearly enough on numerous occasions. Play it again, Sam. It's still correct.
