Solar cells, parallel vs series by imWACC0 2014-02-04 15:28:40
I picked up two kits just to have fun during the snowpocalypse!!!!1111one

Can't get the darn things to run with just one solar cell. I'm going to put both cells on one kit. For the small motor, do I want to increase voltage or wattage?

Kit 1

Kit 2

  If you can get enough voltage from a single by LongFist2014-02-04 15:39:30
  Watts=Voltage*Amperage. by tonyz2014-02-04 15:44:57
  Pedantically speaking, do you mean amperage? by kahuana2014-02-04 15:46:40
  Sorry, was thinking in battery by imWACC02014-02-04 16:05:16
    So was I - sorry 'bout that... (n/t) by LongFist2014-02-04 16:06:10
    Solar Panel Output= 75mA _ ? by imWACC02014-02-04 16:10:51
      Motor= 12000 rpm / DC 1.2V _ ? by imWACC02014-02-04 16:13:30
        Then go in series. (n/t) by tonyz2014-02-04 17:36:36

  I would definitely go with series. by RetiQlum22014-02-04 17:44:22
  And the right answer is NONE OF THE ABOVE by imWACC02014-02-04 18:37:11
    Put each one, one at a time, on the motor. by wwill2014-02-04 19:17:49
