But the only thing he'd realistically be able to do was to know that the letters BOY and TRAIN meant what was represented by the pictures above, he'd basically know a lot of nouns, but the mechanics of all the rest were bound to go sideways, if anyways at all.

And no way he'd realize how to pronounce any of it.

Basically: pattern recognition.
