Following your linkt through the indirectron unfortunately dumps me on gizmag's home page instead of the article... At work we have a project for indoor navigation... Its primary focus is not VI assistance, though... Consider a big trade show and you want to find a specific booth. And the catalogue doesn't just say "aisle 3, row 15" but gives you the option to be lead there just like you would with your car's gps. And that's just one obvious example...
