Forgettable music? Sure. But I'll listen... by bigmal27 2014-02-03 13:05:57
Pardon my long opinion...

Bruno's stuff has a nice groove most of the time. And nice grooves I can listen to ALL DAY at work or in the car. That's why I did a lot of college studying while listening to smooth jazz. Funny thing is it only worked for math, physics, chemistry and engineering but NOT writing, ethics and philosophy. I can't STAND the stuff most of the time or while reading non-math stuff, but lyric-less grooves get my brain going. Since I also play drums, I really want to jam along, too. I don't care if it "sticks" with me; sometimes it's better not to.

Speaking of drums, Bruno's opening solo would have taken me a solid month to master. Add on the moving platform, lights, fireworks, etc. and you have one difficult task!

Plus, I thought his crazy-legs dancing was cool. Not every performer can do those moves, or impress me.

First thing my wife said about RHCP was the lead singer looked like an "old, fat loser". We skipped most of their portion of the show, so I don't necessarily disagree with you, but I can't agree either.
