Assuming there's a Target left to shop at... by ShadowSystems 2014-02-03 12:44:25
How many people have heard about the Target f4 up & are too scared to shop there for fear of their own data being stolen?
How many people are angry enough to start protesting outside Target stores with signs reading things like "Target Hacked! Don't come back!"?
How many people will now visit a different online vendor for their purchases, figuring that the Target site isn't worth the bother of logging in to, much less spending money at?

My Mom has already decided that she'll spend the money she still has in Target gift cards, "but unless I pay cash, I'm not shopping there with a card ever again."
If her attitude is even *remotely* typical of people whom are even halfway concerned over their financial data, then Target's about to take a header off a short pier.
And not only do I not blame her one iota, I wholeheartedly SUPPORT her decision in this.
If a Great Big Fish like Target can't even keep your data safe, the Little Tiny Fish had better rethink the way they spend their money in a digital economy.
