It's an ongoing feud between game designers and ladies. There's FAR too many game makers who want eye-candy, despite it's impracticality. Like the molded top plates. Why on EARTH would we want a completely molded unit, since it guides a slightly glancing blade into the center of the sternum? There's a really good Obilvion-based (or other Elder Scrolls) cartoon somewhere, but I can't reach it from my present location. The gist of it was a suit of armor on a hanger. Male tries it on, it fits like you'd expect. Lady puts on same thing, it's bare midriff and skimpy in the spots it does cover.
