I've already apologized to two co-workers about rambling on, this morning. They both asked me questions, and received "stream of consciousness" answers. In retrospect, the stream of consciousness answer was useful for the, "I just got assigned a project, do you have a minute to consult on the design?" question. Interesting. I have gone into this state during crunch-time at the end of a project ... maybe it's more useful to lose sleep and be half-crazed at the beginning of one! Hard to achieve, but so long as someone is competent enough to recording and interpreting the musings of a handful of people like this it might just work.
