The PS4 is using a netbook/tablet chip but with by Snate 2013-02-21 16:51:31
more cores.

The PlayStation 4's APU (CPU/GPU) is based on AMD's Jaguar netbook/tablet architecture. To make up for being relatively underpowered it is using eight cores rather than the two found in most netbooks and tablets. Also the Jaguar architecture is apparently a lot better better than Intel's Atom architecture for netbooks and tablets so people used to how poorly the Atom performs should not worry about the Jaguar.

Hey, I'm a geek. I will probably not buy a PS4 or the new Xbox, but that doesn't mean I'm not interesting in the technological aspects of them both.
