Network UFies (fiber in particular) - a question by radiowave9112013-02-21 10:39:56
Thanks for the responses. by radiowave911 2013-02-21 11:44:06
I was suffering from serious mental block (it has been one of those sort of weeks). I will look at the card wwill suggested. Because of the multiple wavelengths, the photodetector might not work well. There is also the narrow angle where the light would be 'visible', seeing as I would be checking either the end of a fiber or the module on the switch/router/OLT. In this case, the fiber is single-mode LC duplex. The rest of the PON is a mix of simplex and duplex, LC-UPC, SC-UPC and SC-APC connectors. All single-mode fiber.
