tried as seconds and ms. Ended up using ping -n 10 127.0.0.1 as my timer, seems to work ok. Even though it seemed a second or 2 delay would solve the problem, it took 10 seconds. Probably should up it another 2. My USB hub with the midi controllers is getting recognized just as the app launches. I got it though, my son can now start the tablet and play the piano with just a slide of the power button. That'll make him happy. :)
