That sounds like a very serious heart attack, and I'm glad that he survived it and hope he will make a near full recovery.
Calling an ambulance is almost always the correct call for patients who experience chest pain or shortness of breath, especially for patients with pre-existing cardiac conditions.
While false alarms may be wallet unfriendly, there are some very good medications that will help a heart recover from a heart attack but the 'gold standard' for delivery time for these drugs is 30 minutes, the last I heard. I'd take a couple of false alarms against a better chance of full recovery any day. It sounds like your local hospital is a good one too, that always boosts recovery.
Warfarin is a strong drug with a few other interactions, you may want to learn about how to manage warfarin use and what you should and shouldn't eat with it if your SO stays on it long term.
I give you and yours my best wishes for recovery. |
