Well poo! by schwing1 2012-06-06 14:20:56
I have joined the ranks of the employment challenged people.

I have been very frustrated with my job and lack of feedback. I got a meeting notice yesterday for mid-year review. Thinking it would go like the last one where unstated expectations were not being met, I was prepared to give my resignation. I walked in and HR was there with my boss, I knew something was up. They said that my department was going thru restructuring and my position was eliminated.

So, for the second time in two years I have been laid off. I only got 1 month severance but it is something. I look it as I have been looking and I am pretty much getting a month paid to look for a new job.

I have had several interviews in the last few weeks with a couple companies (including return interviews). I have one lined up for a repeat interview tomorrow AM and just snagged a HR interview for 2 hours after the first one with a different company. I also called a few HR contacts with other companies and let them know I was on the market and they have my resume.

Something is bound to stick.
