It's not so much a wooden stove we had, as an open fire. And the matches got damp, which made lighting it a perfect pain. Lots of wood in the wood store to use though. Everything I took to camp came back sooty and reeking of smoke. The QM looked liked she'd been rolling in soot. This morning, on the commute in, I kept getting whiffs of woodsmoke. We have four perfectly good double ring gas burners. Next time, we're using those. And I'll bring more tables for the mess tent stores.
