Magnus is now well established in the Firm. He gets his coveted Washington posting and access, but he begins to overplay his hand ("Maybe it's time to retire."). Father shows up often, usually at the worst times ("It's Christmas.") and in need of saving. Meanwhile, patterns emerge, thanks to the cousins at Langley. Next posting: Vienna, with rope provided by the Firm. Magnus prepares to go off the grid.
