Prayers, thoughts, fuzzies, etc., please by Radiowave911 2012-01-08 14:19:39
Mom went to the ER this afternoon (still there as of last check). She was pulling dead limbs from a tree and fell backwards, fracturing her wrist (I saw the X-Rays my sister took). Her first broken bone in her life. She was in quite a bit of pain, and apparently went into shock and remained somewhat shocky even at the hospital. They are giving her IV pain meds at the moment, waiting on the results of further x-rays. She will likely get a half-cast today, and an appointment with an orthopaedic doctor this week to determine if they are going to go in or put a full cast on and let it heal on it's own. The latter is the most likely scenario at the moment.

My sister got a call from mom's husband around lunch time today, she took her work van and headed over - she is a mobile x-ray technician. The break was pretty clear (she showed me the images on her laptop from the van, she sent a CD to the hospital with mom).

Any healing thoughts, prayers, warm fuzzies, etc. you could send her way would be appreciated.
